I’ve used a number of slide scanners over the past few years. The Nikon coolscan is great.
I used a different manufacturer’s scanner that had a carousel for scanning multiple slides.
But my favorites so far is what I’m using now. The Epson Perfection 4990 PHOTO. I can scan multiple slides (12?) at a time, each with great resolution 300dpi @ 11″X14″, with digital ice. It also scans 24 negs at a time 2 4X5 negs, or up to 8″X10″ transparencies.
It’s a flatbed scanner with a light source on top and bottom.
